Full synopsis
A forest is a living community. Rivers, trees, insects, birds, mammals and human beings share an immense network of relationships. When the forest is destroyed, entire forms of life disappear with it. How can a devastated landscape begin to live again?
Based on the song composed in 2021 by Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil at the invitation of photographer Sebastião Salgado, Refloresta transforms an urgent call for environmental regeneration into a visual narrative for children and adults.
Daniel Kondo's illustrations move through biodiversity, human intervention, destruction, memory and renewal. River dolphins, toucans, giant otters, anteaters, tapirs, jaguars and insects inhabit the changing landscapes. Human figures, fire, fragments and marks gradually transform the atmosphere of the book.
The rhythm of Gilberto Gil's song becomes the rhythm of the pages. Colour, scale, repetition and visual silence create a sequence in which the natural world appears both magnificent and vulnerable.
Refloresta proposes the regeneration of forests as a collective responsibility extending across generations. It invites readers to imagine the future through the actions we are prepared to take today.

Eletricista

Full synopsis
An electrician goes to work carrying his tools, wires and instruments. His son observes the gestures of a profession that most people notice only when the lights go out.
From the everyday experience of an electrician, the child discovers a much larger world: circuits, buildings, cities, invisible networks and the energy that connects people across distances.
Written by poet Augusto Massi and illustrated and designed by Daniel Kondo, Eletricista was developed over nearly ten years. The book transforms work, family memory and the father-son relationship into a poetic reflection on the material and emotional connections that sustain our lives.
Its graphic design is central to the narrative. Metallic silver and copper evoke tools, wires and conductive materials, while fluorescent colours bring the sensation of electrical energy into the printed page.
The compositions draw inspiration from Russian Constructivism, with geometric forms, strong typography and a visual celebration of labour. From the contents of a toolbox to the moon, the book gives visibility to an ordinary profession and to the people whose work silently keeps the world connected.

The Big Bad Wolf with a Toothache
978-65-5461-079-7
Full synopsis
Everyone knows the Big Bad Wolf. His enormous eyes, sharp teeth and terrifying appetite have made him one of the most famous villains in traditional fairy tales.
But today the wolf has a terrible toothache. The pain is unbearable, and even the fiercest creature in the forest needs someone willing to help.
He visits the Three Little Pigs, the Seven Little Goats and Little Red Riding Hood's Grandma. Unfortunately, everyone remembers what happened the last time they met him. Nobody seems particularly enthusiastic about getting close to those enormous teeth.
As the wolf becomes increasingly desperate, the story gradually turns toward the person holding the book. Its unusual vertical format transforms the physical volume into the wolf's open mouth.
Page turns, graphic repetition, changes of scale and the direction of reading all become part of the narrative. The reader eventually discovers that helping the wolf requires interacting with the book itself.
A playful reinterpretation of a classic fairy-tale villain, The Big Bad Wolf with a Toothache combines humour, suspense and experimental editorial design.

Full synopsis
Near and far. High and low. Fast and slow. How can a child discover what opposing ideas mean?
In Opostos on the Table, a boy sets off on his bicycle and travels through a succession of changing landscapes and situations.
His journey becomes an invitation to observe differences in distance, height, movement, temperature and perspective. Each new scene introduces a relationship between two opposing concepts.
Instead of treating opposites as isolated vocabulary exercises, the book connects them through a continuous visual adventure. The meanings emerge from the images, the movement and the relationship between the elements on the page.
Originally published in Portuguese and English, Opostos on the Table invites young readers to discover how language describes the world around them. Its clear illustrations and visual humour make it accessible to children learning to read and to those exploring a new language.

Full synopsis
Fish swim together. Bees gather in swarms. Wolves move in packs. Animals live, travel and sometimes work in groups. Languages have special words to name these communities.
Coletivos on the Table introduces collective nouns through an illustrated exploration of the animal world. Each spread presents an opportunity to observe how animals gather and how language describes their groups.
From familiar herds, flocks and schools to less common collective expressions, the book invites children to investigate the relationship between words, living creatures and their environments.
The illustrations encourage observation, identification and conversation. Readers can explore the pages independently or discover the names aloud with parents and teachers.
Originally published in Portuguese and English, Coletivos on the Table combines visual clarity and linguistic curiosity. An Arabic-language edition could explore the collective terms most natural to Arabic while retaining the original graphic approach, subject to editorial and rights approval.
