The Big Bad Wolf with a Toothache
Original title: Lobo Mau com Dor de Dente
A book-object shaped by fear, humor and the movement of reading.
The book opens like a mouth.
Originally published in Brazil as Lobo Mau com Dor de Dente, this project reworks the figure of the Big Bad Wolf through the physical structure of the book itself. The vertical format turns the act of opening into a narrative gesture: the reader enters the wolf’s mouth through scale, repetition and proximity.
The visual language is built around tension and release. Large graphic shapes, typographic pressure and repeated rhythms create discomfort, while humor keeps the reading experience unstable, playful and theatrical.
Rather than treating design as a container for the story, the project uses format, sequence and page turns as narrative devices. The object shapes the reading.
